Monogatari
(Story)
All my work on the projects include slides full of context, research and planning; as well as a collection of images of my process and production. Here you will see the work I've done on my app, Monogatari.

Context & Research
To start off the project, I did a small exercise were I named apps of different genres. Apps that focus on music, entertainment, communication and gaming. I then looked into one specific app in detail, and researched its UX, UI, genre and popularity. Because learning about UX was the main focus of this project, I ended up talking about design features on the app of my choice much more.
This can also count as research, looking at another app in detail will help me when trying to create my own app.

Creative Thinking
After looking into different examples of apps, their design elements and how it pertains to their genre, I started to brainstorm my own App idea with the theme in mind. When thinking of my three app ideas I focused on the genre of app it was going to be, the overall aesthetic and theme, and the features it will be able to have.

I had to giving each its own description and mood board, as well as a small style sheet that would be used to help determine the style of the app. With each idea I had an existing app that I used as reference.

In the end I decided to stick with my second app idea and began to develop it further.

Planning
&
Production Log

When I had picked my app idea, I first planned out my design elements. Things like the name and logo of the app, as well as the colour scheme, fonts that will be used, and the splash page/backgrounds were all thought of and created. Having had to draw most of the assets I would be using myself.
Something that I had looked into was what makes a bad and good UX. Things like clarity, and aesthetically pleasing layout were all thought of while I was working on my app. With that, I started planning my wireframing; I used a flowchart at first to help me plan where each button will take you to what page. After creating a simple wireframe attempt, I moved on from practice and started working on the real thing.

I had taken some feedback inbetween the production process, so I could make changes to the app where it was need. This helped me reach my final product, which I'm quite proud of.
Evaluation
The final thing I did for this project was an Evaluation on all the work I had done. This included my honest thoughts about my work and my final product.
